Chrysoberges, Maximos
   Theologian, student of Demetrios Kydones (q.v.). He studied Kydones's translations of Thomas Aquinas (q.v.), converted to Catholicism and became a Dominican monk, as did his two brothers. In 1393, he left for the West, where Pope (q.v.) Boniface IX allowed him to celebrate the Dominican rite in Greek.
